If some color options on your product page show a slash through the swatch or look unavailable, but the same colors show inventory in Shopify admin, the issue is usually your theme's variant selector — not missing stock from your supplier sync.
SupplyMaster updates product and inventory data in Shopify admin. It does not control how your theme draws color swatches on the storefront.
Quick check
In Shopify admin, open the product and find the color that looks “sold out” on the storefront.
Check that variant's inventory. If inventory is greater than zero, SupplyMaster has synced stock for that color.
Count how many variants the product has. Apparel styles with many sizes and colors (for example Gildan 5000 from S&S Activewear) often exceed 500 variants on a single product.
Why themes show a slash when admin looks fine
Shopify now supports up to 2,048 variants per product on supported themes, but many themes still only display the first 250 variants on the product page. That 250 limit is a legacy Shopify constraint that some themes never updated.
When a product has more variants than your theme can show, colors that fall after the theme's cutoff may appear crossed out, grayed out, or missing from the selector — even though those variants exist in admin with correct inventory.
Clicking an empty swatch box sometimes still loads the on-model image in the gallery because the variant data is in Shopify; only the selector UI is capped.
What you can do
Contact your theme developer or Shopify support and ask whether your theme supports more than 250 variants per product, or can paginate or group selectors for high-variant products.
Split the catalog in SupplyMaster using variant filters so fewer variants land on each Shopify product (for example separate products by color family or import subsets).
Switch to a theme that supports Shopify's higher per-product variant limits if you routinely sell high-variant styles.
This is different from Shopify's daily variant creation limit for very large stores. See Shopify's Daily Variant Creation Limit (50,000+ Variants) if Sync History mentions a creation cap instead of slash-through swatches.
Need Help?
If admin inventory is zero for those colors, use our inventory troubleshooting articles. If admin shows stock but the storefront does not, tell support your product's variant count and theme name — we can confirm the sync and suggest filter strategies.
