Dropship Orders Setup

Dropship mode sends each Shopify order as its own supplier purchase order (PO).

Dropship mode sends each Shopify order as its own supplier purchase order (PO). Use it when the supplier should ship to the customer, or when blanks should go to your warehouse one PO at a time.

To choose between dropship and batched workflows, see Order Workflow Setup. For S&S warehouse, payment, or PromoStandards credentials, see Syncing Orders with Suppliers.

How Dropship Works

Dropship flow: one Shopify order becomes one supplier PO; ship to customer or your warehouse

With Combine Orders = No, each paid Shopify order that includes this supplier's products becomes one separate supplier PO.

Dropship is best when:

  • Orders should ship straight to the customer, or

  • Each Shopify order still needs its own PO even when shipping to your shop or warehouse, or

  • Decoration or fulfillment happens after goods arrive (or not at all for that line).

Order Settings

On Edit Supplier > Order Settings:

Combine Orders set for dropship with Ship To Address

  1. Set Combine Orders to No.

  2. Set Ship To Address to Ship to customer or a saved merchant address.

  3. Choose Shopify Fulfillment: When Supplier PO is placed or Manual (for in-house decoration).

  4. Choose Order Sync timing (automatic, scheduled, or manual).

  5. Confirm Supplier PO Number (default is often {{ shopifyOrderNumber }}).

  6. Click Save Supplier.

Shopify Fulfillment appears only when Combine Orders is No.

Merchant Addresses

Merchant warehouse and shop addresses are shared across all suppliers. Manage them from Ship To Address > Add or Edit Address, or from the Ship to column on the Orders tab.

  • Each address needs a label, contact and street fields, and a phone number (required).

  • Changing the supplier default does not update orders already captured. Per-order ship-to can be edited while status is Queued, Pending, or On Hold.

Orders Tab

Open the supplier Orders tab (Supplier Purchase Orders). Each row is one Shopify order moving toward one supplier PO.

Orders tab listing with Hold, Skip, and Submit Now actions on pending rows

  • Ship to — click to change destination on editable rows.

  • Hold / Release Hold — pause or resume placement.

  • Skip — permanently exclude an order (cannot be reversed). Optional reasons: In stock, PO placed, Decoration only, or Other.

  • Submit Now — place a single order when status is Queued or Pending (not while on hold).

Status values include Queued, Pending, On Hold, Skipped, Submitted, and Failed.

Timing & Tracking

  • Automatic: eligible orders are placed about every 10 minutes.

  • Scheduled: once per day after Order Placement Time.

  • Manual: use Submit Now on the Orders tab.

  • Tracking syncs back to SupplyMaster. Shopify fulfillment follows your Shopify Fulfillment setting.

Changing Combine Orders or Ship To Address applies to new Shopify orders only. Orders already captured keep the settings from when they were captured.
